Escape to McAuley Glen and enjoy  warm Kiwi hospitality, blended with an idyllic setting, this is the perfect place to revitalise your mind, body, and soul, also a perfect opportunity to try something you have always wanted to. Whatever you decide, we assure you of a wonderful experience and the best of personal service.

Select from our two night stay packages or custom design your own package by choosing  from our menu listed. You may add to your package with one or more of the indulgent extras, which are also listed.
Should you wish to stay three or more nights we will  provide a special price once your package has been determined. We are happy to discuss the options with you.

This is an exciting fun-filled, romantic two night stay. On arrival, settle into your luxurious suite, share welcome refreshments with your hosts Mary and Patrick, who will be happy to recommend a restaurant for your evening meal. If time allows you may chose to visit near by attractions or relax in the jucuzzi hot tub.

Begin your mornings with one of Mary's scrumptious breakfasts.  You have the option of a Sea Kayak Tour, taking in the magnificent Taiaroa Headland, or, a Mountain Bike Tour, exploring the secluded  beaches and inlets around the Otago Peninsula. With Patrick as you personal guide, he will tailor the trip to suit your needs and share a wealth of knowledge on local wildlife. Both of these half day excursions offer fantastic scenery along with many unique opportunities to view  bird and marine life in their natural habitat; including Royal Albatross, Penguins, Seals, and Sealions. A delicious picnic of gourmet goodies is provided or a kiwi style BBQ is prepared for your return.

Take some time to enjoy each other, soak in the jacuzzi hot tub, a perfect spot for stargazing while you sip some wine, unwind in the sauna to cleanse and revitalise. In the comfort of your room enjoy gentle music and soft lighting, treat yourself to a relaxing Swedish massage, preformed by our qualified professional masseuse.  Irrespective of how you plan your time, you will treasure your memories at McAuley Glen and your wonderful experience on the Otago Peninsula.

• Sea Kayak, guided tour taking in the Taiaroa Headland at the entrance of the Otago Harbour. Offering unique opportunities to view fantasic scenery as well as a remarkable range of wildlife, including Royal Albatross, Seals, Sealions, Penguins and many other marine birds. • Sea kayak, guided tour visiting Quarantine Island. Exploring this interesting recreational reserve with its historic buildings and nature bush walks, you can experience its magic, a feeling of well being and sense of sanctuary.  A delicious gourmet picnic lunch / morning or afternoon tea is provided. • Mountain bike, guided tour exploring the secluded beaches and picturesque bays and inlets around the Otago Peninsula. Offering unique opportunities to view fantastic scenery as well as remarkable  range of wildlife including  Penguins, Seals, Sealions and water wading birds all in their natural habitat

• Mountain bike ride. Armed with helmet and map this self guided option can include, a voucher to visit  Larnach Castle (NZ's only castle) and / or a voucher to join a personalised guided tour of the Marine Studies Centre & Aquarium in Portobello. Both of these rides offer spectacular views of magnificent scenery as well as the opportunity to do some independent walking. • Be driven or drive your self to scenic areas around the Otago Peninsula where you can do some independent walking:  Across farm land, over rugged hills, into volcanic landforms and along secluded sandy beaches. Be surprised by the amazing bird and marine life that abounds the Otago Peninsula

• Partake in a round of Golf at the rustic Otakou Golf Course, situated just a 6 minute drive from McAuley Glen, or check out our local Tennis Courts for a friendly match with your companion. We can supply the clubs, rackets and balls along with after match refreshments
